O'Gara Secures Freedom 100 Ride

Kyle O'Gara, a development driver for IZOD Indycar Team Sarah Fisher Hartman Racing, will make his Firestone Indy Lights debut at Inidanapolis Motor Speedway for the annual running of the Firestone Freedom 100 in a joint effort with Sarah Fisher Hartman Racing and Schmidt Peterson Racing.

Kyle has raced in USAC for the past couple of years with plenty of success. The 18 year old driver, who also consistently maintains grades in school that get him on the honors list, looks to make an impact in the Indy Lights series in his first career start. He will test with Schmidt Peterson racing at Fontana in April and Indianapolis in early May. His first test in a Lights car was back in Kentucky in October 2012 in a joint effort with Fan Force United and SFHR. SPM has a great track record at Indianapolis, winning seven out of the ten Freedom 100s run.

One of O'Gara's sponsors, SportsEvents.com, is providing tickets to students and faculty at the high school where Kyle attends, Roncalli High School. Oddly enough, O'Gara graduates the same weekend as the Freedom 100.

Can't wait to watch and support Kyle! Wish him well! Twitter: @kyleogara. Click here to read an interview I did with Kyle back in October.
