Round 3 Power Rankings: Drivers

Here are the powering rankings following round three at Long Beach. Number next to driver represents change in rankings based off of last rankings:

Biggest Mover: Justin Wilson (+9)
Biggest Loser: Marco Andretti and Sebastien Bourdais (-7)

1. Will Power +1
He proved that he isn't another one of those drivers that can qualify on pole and just run a race without passing anyone. He has carved his way through the field for the last two races. He is the class of the field right now.

2. Simon Pagenaud +3
You cannot shake it without baking it. It makes no sense! But he is shaking and baking the whole field right now! Keep it up Jean Giraud!

3. Helio Castroneves -2
Decent weekend by Helio, except he punted his fellow countrymen Rubens Barrichello on the last lap, which was kind of a downer moment.

4. James Hinchcliffe 0
Manica once again proved what Danica always failed to do, which was succeeding on road courses based off of skill and not just surviving the carnage.

5. Scott Dixon -3
Dixon was very lucky not to have gotten collected in Andretti and Rahal's mess. But he later had a failure. Bummer.

6. Ryan Hunter-Reay 0
Wish he hadn't made contact with Sato on the last lap, that was a lose-lose for everyone.

7. Takuma Sato +5
The poor guy can't get the result he deserves.

8. Tony Kanaan +3
TK bounces back in TK like fashion. Love the beard by the way TK (no homo).

9. Ryan Briscoe -2
Pressure is on, he is the one Penske driver without a win. But he did set the Long Beach track record which is a plus.

10. JR Hildebrand +7
Like I said in the Team Power Rankings, this team scares me if they can continue their great efforts on road courses.

11. Justin Wilson +9
He proved what he could do in his equipment, especially when he was pulling away from everyone towards the start.

12. Rubens Barrichello +6
Rubens was running well and I feel like he is only going to get stronger as the season goes on. Too bad Helio decided to wreck everything for him.

13. Graham Rahal -5
Probation and calling out the Andretti name? Hold on playa.......

14. Dario Franchitti -4
It was apparent on Sunday that Dario was indeed right foot braking again.

15. Josef Newgarden +1
Racer of Today is a go getter. He went for it and got helped into the wall. You definitely cannot get mad at him for that. And the way he conducts himself in interviews is veteran like, not a 21 year old rookie.

16. Marco Andretti -7
I would have liked to see Marco come to the defense of the Andretti name kind of like his Grandpa. But maybe he was, just not doing it via social networking. Not a good result either way.

17. Mike Conway -4
Another failure. But he wasn't very impressive pre-failure.

18. Charlie Kimball +3
Char Dogg definitely impressed me. Too bad he got screwed at the end. He was right up there in the top ten the whole race. Wish he would be more consistent throughout the season.

19. James Jakes +5
James very much impressed me when he was hanging right on the rear of Will Power in the early stages of the race. Maybe we will see more of this to come.

20. EJ Viso -5
EJ got penalized for an incident that no one has any knowledge of. Basically, Tags crashed and EJ got penalized for it even though there was no evidence. Don't agree with it and EJ paid the price.

21. Sebastien Bourdais -7
The big drop is because I personally expected more from Seabass this weekend given lasts weeks performance and his past history at Long Beach. Off to Sao Paulo for the first time.

22. Oriol Servia -3
Okay weekend for Big O. Nothing more, nothing less.

23. Alex Tagliani -1
So I guess EJ wrecked Tags and ended his bid for the victory, or at least that's what I got out of the interview Tags gave.

24. Simona de Silvestro -1
Poor Simona, put her in a Penske and this is a different story.

25. Ed Carpenter 0
Hahaha oh Ed..... You have so much to learn on road courses.

26. Katherine Legge 0
I wish Milka would find some speed already.

Let me know what you think.
