Season Review: Dario Franchitti

In a series of blogs that will be featured throughout the offseason, I review and talk about all 21 full-time drivers of the 2013 Indycar Season one at a time. I try to be as honest as I can in these reveiws, and I would like to hear your thoughts on what I say. Enjoy:

Dario Franchitti
#10 Chip Ganassi Racing

10th in points scoring 418 points.

Best finish: 3rd (x4 Pocono, Toronto Race 1, Mid-Ohio, and Sonoma)
Worst finish: 25th (x2 St. Petersburg, Barber)

Best moment: Strength at Toronto
Worst moment: Crash at Houston

Grade: B

Dario Franchitti began the year with two 25th place finishes at St. Pete and Barber, but he quickly regained his normal form. Despite struggling at Indianapolis, Dario was quick most of the year. He went from Pocono to Sonoma on a hot streak, notching finishes of 3, 3, 4, 3, and 3 over five races. That's badassary. Then, racing with Takuma Sato on the last lap of Houston Race 2, Dario Franchitti crashed his car heavily into the catch fencing, severely injuring. Thankfully, he's alive. His health comes before everything.

Dario will serve as a member of Chip Ganassi Racing in 2014, and will continue to remain a fixture in the Indycar Paddock, which is enough to make anyone smile. Really hope Dario has as good of a second half his life as his first half. It'll be hard to top but if anyone can pull it off, its him!

Stay tuned for P9 Charlie Kimball!
