On This Day: Tagliani vs Tracy

On this day, July 30th, 2005, eight years ago, an incident occurred during the Canary Foundation Grand Prix of San Jose between drivers Alex Tagliani and Paul Tracy. Paul Tracy, who was driving for Forsythe Racing, went off the track in a run off area during the race. While trying to rejoin the track, Tracy didn't take notice of Alex Tagliani, driver for Team Australia, and they both wrecked. With both drivers out, Alex went to confront Paul. Words were exchanged, and all seemed well. Then, words were again exchanged, and a physical confrontation broke out. Both drivers had kind words to say after:
"You shouldn't throw stones if you live in a glass house. And if you've got a glass jaw, you should watch your mouth." - Paul Tracy
"I HAVE NO CAR!" -Alex Tagliani (couldn't find an actual quote)
