Combined Results From Friday at Barber

Helio Castroneves tops the charts after a great day of action at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama. The new track record of 1:08.5540 paced the field in the afternoon session. Canadian driver Alex Tagliani came in an impressive second, and French teammates Tristan Vautier, a rookie who led after the first session, and Simon Pagenaud came in third and fourth respectively. Will Power came in at fifth. AJ Allmendinger, making his return to Indycar following a seven year abscence came in at an impressive eighth place. Six Hondas and four Chevys were represented in the top ten. There will be a third practice session tomorrow at 9:00am and qualifying begins at 10:25am (local time is central).
