Round 9 Power Rankings: Teams

Here are the power rankings following round nine at Iowa. Number next to team represents change in rankings based off of last week's rankings, and new this week, the three digit number next to the "change in position" is average points per driver so far in the 9 races for that team, these exclude one-offs:

Biggest Mover- Andretti Autosport (+3)
Biggest Loser- Chip Ganassi Panther Dreyer and Reinbold (-2)

1. Team Penske 0  250.6
Another rough outing for Penske at Iowa. But they still remain to be the team to beat on road courses. But the lead in the points by Power has shrunken to 3.

2. Andretti Autsosport +3  237.3
Two wins in a row, and even Marco had a good complete race this season. A shame Hinch didn't finish, he would be right up there in the points.

3. Schmidt Hamilton Racing +1  246
Wow is all I have to say. They continue to beat the big guys with one car. Starting last with a driver who is still new to ovals, and they finish fifth. Just stunning.

4. Chip Ganassi Racing -2  211
Another shit race for Ganassi, and like Milwaukee, they got screwed in a way they couldn't control. Dario blew up before the start, and Dixon, Rahal, and Kimball all seemed to have terrible cars. Despite that, they still finished P4, P9, and P11 respectively.

5. Panther Dreyer and Reinbold Racing -2  179
JR made a mistake that really cost him even though his car was amazing, and Servia had a mechanical issue. Tough week for them.

6. KV Racing +2  186.3
I guess I could give them an F, but then I remembered I had a brain. All three of the cars were blisteringly quick.

7. Bryan Herta Autosport -1  142
They had a fast car, but something went wrong before the race start, and then again later on in the race. It was a shame because they almost made up the two laps they lost.

8. Dale Coyne Racing -1  163
Wilson had a great car until the last 20 laps, and Jakes continue to perform at a subpar level. A driver replacement would better the team in my opinion.

9. Ed Carpenter Racing 0  151
Good race for Ed. Too bad the next five races are on a road course. *small violin*

10. Sarah Fisher Hartman Racing +1  126
Another great car with no result to show for it.

11. Rahal Letterman Racing -1  154
Their car was absolutely shocking but hey, at least they finished!

12. Dragon Racing +1  94.5
Average race for Legge, who had a great car at the end of the race. Too little too late though, as she was already 2+ laps down.

13. AJ Foyt Enterprises -1  137
In non-AJ Foyt like fashion, they continue to underperform. Something has to give.

14. HVM Racing 0  111
Upgrades coming in Toronto might spring some life into the team. They beat Foyt Enterprises on the track though!

Let me know what you think.
