Round 8 Power Rankings: Drivers

Here are the power rankings following round eight at Milwaukee. Number next to driver represents change in rankings based off of last rankings:

Biggest Mover: Ryan Hunter-Reay (+4)
Biggest Loser: Justin Wilson (-4)

1. Will Power 0
One more race to go before the string of road courses and also when Power puts the beat down on the rest of the field.

2. James Hinchcliffe +1
Hinch continues to be in Beast Mode. Get this man a contract for 10 years Mr. Andretti.

3. Scott Dixon -1
Dixon got shafted by a penalty, but Dixon is not out of the championship chase yet.

4. Simon Pagenaud
Not a bad race for Simon who is not used to the ovals. Can't expect the world from him. Let's see if he can tame Iowa before the series heads to the road course fiesta.

5. Helio Castroneves +2
Helio has impressed in a lot of places in his career, Iowa being one of the few that he hasn't done too well at. Will that change on Saturday?

6. Ryan Hunter-Reay +4
Hunter-Reay with the clutch win on Andretti's turf. He got the result he needed after a string of bad luck. Time for Ryan to string together some big results.

7. Dario Franchitti -2
Dario crashed out of Milwaukee. But he owns Iowa, and will be in the running for the win.

8. Tony Kanaan +1
TK scores a solid P2 finish at Milwaukee. Now off to one of his favorite tracks, where the fans definitely love him.

9. Graham Rahal -1
A solid top ten for Graham who, for the second straight race, paced the Ganassi's in the race. Only reason he went down is because of TK's success.

10. Justin Wilson -4
An engine change after Iowa test resulted in a blown engine in the race. I guess it's better to have bad luck then no luck at all. A big drop was result of others succeeding.

11. Alex Tagliani +2
Tags continues to work wonders. P7 at Milwaukee is a great result for that team.

12. Oriol Servia +3
This guy is a maniac. How many cars will he pass at the pass-happy Iowa Speedway?

13. Ryan Briscoe -2
His race was a load of ballocks. He must of had seriously handling issues, because I do not expect a result like that from someone who won the race in '08.

14. Takuma Sato -2
Four straight DNF's. Ouchtown, population, you bro.

15. JR Hildebrand -1
JR had an engine failure after running well. But fear not, as I predict he wins at Iowa.

16. Rubens Barrichello +1
A very good weekend for Rubens Barruchello who qualified well, raced decently, and finished well.

17. EJ Viso +2
The Honey Badger did a great job finishing P5. He has momentum behind him on his way to Iowa, where he has had success in the past.

18. Charlie Kimball -2
After having a string of great races, CK has had two downer races in a row. Comeback at Iowa?

19. Ed Carpenter +2
Ed did good at Milwaukee, but he better savor Iowa before he starts the road courses, which are his favorite tracks ever (snark).

20. Josef Newgarden -2
Better to have bad luck than no luck at all.

21. James Jakes -1
When your teammate is doing well and you aren't, something starts to become a little fishy.

22. Sebastien Bourdais 0
Can't wait to see him back at Toronto.

23. Marco Andretti 0
So RHR won and Hinch is second in points. Marco? He's 18th in points. Connect the dots here people.

24. Mike Conway 0
Another rubbish race from Conway, who is proving to be quite worthless at AJ Foyt Enterprises.

25. Katherine Legge 0
Legge has one last race to prove herself until Fontana.

26. Simona de Silvestro 0
Hey, she didn't finish last! Not that anyone gives two shits.

Let me know what you all think.

  1. Hey now, give Simona credit...the car (engine) is shit. Besides, she's good looking, IMO!!
