A source (who wishes to remain anonymous which I will honor) emailed me with detailed information regrading Formula 1 driver Vitaly Petrov, a young talented Russian driver, who as of recently is out of a ride in F1. But he has money to back him up, and he is not looking to drive for a HRT or Virgin, he only wants to be in F1 if he has good equipment. Vitaly's next option is Indycar. If he isn't in an F1 car next year (which is looking more and more like a possibility) Vitaly will be in an Indycar barring a miraculous outside hire.
Vitaly's F1 stats include 1 podium, 1 fastest lap, and 67 points. At 27 years young, he is just entering his prime. With sponsorship backing, all he needs is a team to hire him. Again, chances of him going somewhere else are slim but it is still a chance, but his best bet is in Indycar according to the source.
Fingers crossed friends

Do you know what team would be interested. Schmidt, or RLLR are my guesses.
ReplyDeleteI would expect him to go to a Lotus team, as there is probably some sort of connection there, as Lotus Renault F1 still had a year on his contract. If it happens...
